The Best Items to Sell on Amazon FBA

In this quick article to share some quick strategies on how to sell on Amazon FBA. I'm also to share what I think are some of the best items to sell on Amazon FBA. A lot of what to talk about can be found in more detail in our free Amazon FBA course found in the Academy.

All that being said, let's get started…

What is your situation?

As with anything, finding the best items to sell on Amazon FBA depends on your situation. If you are just starting out, the items that you send into Amazon are going to be far different than the items you would if you are experienced. Now, that doesn't mean that once you have a few years under your belt with Amazon FBA that all of a sudden everything changes, but you put more priority on other things.

So your strategy of what your descendent Amazon is going to be very different depending on where you're at in the Amazon FBA game.

What are the best items to sell on Amazon FBA?

Think the best way to go about this is to break it down into two distinct pieces. The first will be items that do very well for beginners because you typically have low cash on hand as a beginner. The second will be more focused on what to look for once you have been in the Amazon FBA game for a while.

Beginner items to sell

As a beginner it's important to focus on the fact that you typically do not have a lot of cash to play with. That being said you either have to strategies, the first is to buy items that are going to be very low-cost but might take a while to sell. The second is finding items that have a higher cost but end up turning much faster, sometimes the same day, than something you'd find at a thrift store.

Personally, I always advise people to start off with thrift stores, garage sales, and similar places. Yes, it takes some time for those products to sell, but you aren't spending hundreds of dollars up front in order to test whether or not you even want to continue with Amazon FBA.

It's also awesome when you find something for $.50 or one dollar that ends up selling for $30, $40, $100 or more…

On the other hand, there are some people who do very well finding items that sell within minutes of getting to the Amazon warehouse. Duane Malek, the guru a fast turn items, has a course in our Academy where he shows how he goes about finding items that flipped very quickly. It's a great method, but as I mentioned before you going to need some capital in order to start doing this correctly.

Experienced Amazon FBA seller items that work

The goal of every experience Amazon seller should be focused on building assets. That means, either joint venturing with a manufacturer to have exclusive rights to a product being sold on Amazon, or creating a private label product of some sort. Both take a long time and a lot of work to make happen, but in the end your building something that is going to generate income for you regularly. You see, the problem with the beginner methods is that more often than not you can never replenish the items that you have over a long period of time.

So asset building is key.

I'd rather spend my time building something that's going to have value inherent in itself because it gives me a lot of control in the end. I could continue to sell this product over and over again, or someone could buy me out for a large sum of money and then have exclusive rights that product, the list goes on…

Focus on building assets and you will start to become wealthy.
